50 cent, born Curtis James Jackson III on July 6, 1975 is one of today's largest hip hop stars. 50 Cents success originated from his first commercial album "Get Rich Or Die Tryin'", which was followed up by his sophomore album
"The Massacre". 50 Cent is slated to release
"Before I Self Destruct" in March 2007. 50 cent has sold more than 20 million records worldwide off solely his solo albums.
50 Cent has been the center of numerous controversies from fights with Ja Rule to conflicts with his protégé The Game. This isn't the first time trouble has made its way into 50 cents life. Back in April 2000, 50 cent was shot at 9 times, 3 of which hit him; one in the jaw, and one in each leg. 50 Cent is also responsible for the development of the hip hop group G-Unit and has dipped his pen in many other entrepreneurial opportunities. 50 Cent currently has a line of books, clothing and adult toys as well as many other up and coming products.
