Big and Rich recorded
"She's a Butterfly" in 2003 and landed a record deal a few months later. Some say it was with the help of
Martina McBride, while others just say that Big & Rich are just talented. Either way, in 2004, their debut album
"Horse of a Different Color" reached number one in the Billboard national chart as well as the Billboard country music chart. The biggest single from the album,
"Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" hit #11 on country radio and received worldwide exposure when ESPN featured the song for the 2005
World Series of Poker.
Releasing 1 album each year since 2004, with their debut going platinum and their most recent release
"Comin' To Your City" also going platinum, Big & Rich are set to release their upcoming album
"Between Raising Hell and Amazing Grace" on June 5, 2007. Big & Rich have been criticized from the elders in country music, as well as "country purists" saying that they are ruining country as a genre, but Big Kenny and John Rich have not let that stop them from being one of the biggest groups in country music.
