The Fray is a piano rock banded from Denver, Colorado and consists Isaac Slade, Joe King, Dave Welsh and Ben Wysocki. The Fray exploded with their hit single
"How To Save A Life" in 2006 which peaked at position number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Fray also had another top 10 hit with their debut single
"Over My Head(cable Car)" which topped the charts in many countries. Also, their debut album
"How To Save A Life" became the best selling digital album ever to be released to the internet topping over 2 million copies sold.
"How To Save A Life" is currently ranked at 2x platinum.
The Fray has also released to independent EP albums,
"Movement" in 2002, and
"Reason" in 2003. While The Fray has been compared to Coldplay on more than one occasion they argue that their inspiration comes from such artists as
The Counting Crows, Better Than Ezra and last but not least
U2. The Fray also recently did a cover of John Lennon and Yoko Ono's
Happy Xmas (War Is Over) in time for christimas which debuted at postion number 50 on the Billboard top 50.
